💰 Pricing Structure & Transfer Adjustment for Blocked Funds Accounts

💰 Pricing Structure for Blocked Funds Account For Proof of Funds and Verification of Deposit and Swift Documentary Credits

US Capital Private Bank Knowledge Base

At US Capital Private Bank, we are committed to providing flexible solutions that help our clients secure the collateral they need to facilitate credit line valuations and approvals. Following a recent vote, our updated pricing structure for transfers into blocked funds accounts is now active. This adjustment particularly supports customers with smaller transactions by reducing barriers to obtaining confirmation of funds needed to complete their transactions smoothly.

📘 What is Confirmation of Funds & Its Importance?

  • Proof of Funds (POF) is a formal validation that a specified amount of money is available and securely held in a blocked funds account.

  • This confirmation is critical for:

    • Credit line approvals: Lenders require proof that collateral is secured before approving credit lines.

    • Transaction guarantees: Ensures counterparties that funds are reserved and cannot be depleted during deal settlement.

  • The blocked funds account acts as a secure collateral pool dedicated solely to supporting financial commitments and credit transactions.

⚙️ Updated Pricing Structure

ANY TRANSFER AMOUNT RANGES UNDER 5 MILLION, THE RATE IS .050%

You can start right where you are!

Transfer Amount Range Transfer Fee Rate (%)
From $5 million to $100 million 0.042%
From $100 million to $300 million 0.040%
From $301 million to $500 million 0.037%
From $501 million to $5 billion 0.036%
From $5.1 billion to $100 billion 0.033%
From $100 billion to $1 trillion 0.022%

This fee applies to all transfers into your blocked funds account for credit line valuation purposes.

🧮 Example Calculation

If we transfer $150 million into your blocked funds account, the transfer fee applies at the rate for the $100 million to $300 million tier, 0.040%.

Calculation:
$150,000,000 × 0.040% = $60,000

This means a $150 million transfer into the blocked funds account incurs a fee of $60,000.

If we transfer $3.6 million into your blocked funds account, the transfer fee applies at the rate for under $100 million at tier 0.042%.

Calculation:
$3,600,000 × 0.042% = $1,512.00

If we transfer $2.4 million into your blocked funds account, the transfer fee applies at the rate for transfers under $100 million, 0.042%.

Calculation:
$2,400,000 × 0.042% = $1,008.00

This means a $150 million transfer into the blocked funds account incurs a fee of $60,000.

📢 Summary

  • The updated pricing structure is designed to support customers with both smaller and larger transactions, facilitating smoother access to confirmation of funds required for credit line approvals.

  • The transfer fee reflects the value of securing collateral, helping safeguard transactions and ensure financial stability.

  • These changes will be incorporated into the next revision of your Smart Plan Agreement.
