Heritage Asset Redemption Procedures

Purpose

This article summarizes the heritage-asset redemption and asset-custody process for clients presenting high-value assets for review, custody, collateralization, or possible monetization.

Procedure Map

The source procedure lists the following process areas:

  • Authentication.
  • Valuation.
  • Chain of custody.
  • Confirmation of ownership.
  • Site visit.
  • New transfer and assignment.
  • Private bank account establishment.
  • Funding resource issuance.
  • Movement of asset to a bonded facility.
  • Client/family payment for release of asset from custody where applicable.

Operational Notes

  • Authentication confirms the asset is original and not a copy or forgery.
  • Valuation may require assays, appraisals, valuation certificates, or other evidence supporting net present value.
  • Chain of custody should show prior owners, holders, history of funds, or asset history.
  • Confirmation of ownership should show how the current owner acquired the asset and any relevant transfers, trusts, or ownership records.
  • Site visits may require video, pictures, proof-of-life materials, and bank-officer attendance. Travel and site-visit costs are client-paid.
  • Transfer/assignment or deed-of-trust documents may be required before funding resources are issued.
  • A private bank account may be established for housing cash funds tied to cash-backed instruments or monetization structures.
  • Assets may need to move to USCPB custody or an approved bonded facility.

Client-Safe Reply

For heritage assets or high-value collateral, the review process typically begins with proof of authenticity, valuation, ownership, and chain of custody. Please upload available documentation through the secure portal and the team will advise what additional review steps may be required.

Agent Boundaries

Do not value an asset, authenticate it, confirm ownership, promise monetization, approve custody, promise funding, or accept site-visit materials in chat. Route heritage-asset matters to Morpheus/Aurora and asset review.
