1 The Instruction of Amen-em-apt
| 1 | Whoever has ears, let them hear! |
| 2 | Give your heart to understand them. |
| 3 | It is good to put them in your heart, |
| 4 | but woe to him who neglects them ! |
| 5 | Let them rest in the casket of your belly, |
| 6 | may they be bolted in your heart. |
| 7 | When there rises a whirlwind of words, |
| 8 | they will be a mooring-post for your tongue. |
| 9 | If You make your life with these in your heart, |
| 10 | You will find it a success. |
| 11 | You will find my words a storehouse for life, and |
| 12 | your body will be well upon earth. |
