19 Do not commit perjury
| 1 | Do not go to court before an official |
| 2 | in order to falsify your words. |
| 3 | Do not vacillate in your answers, |
| 4 | when your witnesses accuse. |
| 5 | Do not labour with oaths by your Lord, |
| 6 | with speeches at the hearing. |
| 7 | TeIl the truth before the official, |
| 8 | lest he lay a hand on You. |
| 9 | If another day You come before him, |
| 10 | he will incline to all You say, |
| 11 | he will relate your speech to the Council of Thirty,and |
| 12 | it will be observed on another occasion. |
